Our story begins in the early 1940s, with the unwavering dedication of Mr. Farrugia’s late grandfather, Vincent Zahra, affectionately known as ‘tax-xkejjer.’ Vincent laid the foundation for our legacy by establishing a family-run pig farm that thrived through the collective efforts of our family. Today, San Blas Farm stands as one of the largest livestock pig farms in the Maltese Islands, a testament to the hard work and commitment passed down through generations.
In 2016, William Farrugia founded Farm Meat Market, which has since grown into one of the leading meat processing companies in the Maltese Islands. At Farm Meat Market, we take immense pride in processing all the pigs raised on our family farm.
